New country! New whip! (Jap content)

Personal update - Got a job interview Tuesday!

Admittedly it's only part time at Supercheap Auto (bit like Halfords), but it's better than nothing, will get me working in NZ and get me meeting people :)

Moar money for mods is always handy :D

Reppin' a tiny local car club/forum aha

not a fan of that bumper :( if it were me i would get a gtr front bumper with those wings, find some gtr rear arches to match too and rivet them over the top :)

I know what you mean, unfortunately the GTR bumper wouldn't fit on my car as the headlights are a different shape and I'm pretty sure there are some other differences which would make fitting a pain too.

Also just to let everyone know I was advised to change my username on all the forums I visit, so I did :)

That looks class.

Any plans ?

Cheers :)

Yes mate, quite a bit, I'll just give a quick run down!

Coilovers, gold Work VS-XX rims, camber arms, decent set of recaro's, vented guards, Stage 1 package (various mods, will get me up to 300bhp at the wheels), front lip (maybe the one pictured above if I don't find a better one) GTR spoiler, maybe a roof lip spoiler type thing, tidy up the interior with a proper pillar gauge mount and retrim my roof lining to something funky. Will all have to be done at the same time, as in New Zealand we have to get our mods certified, and it's much cheaper to get all the mods done at once than to get them each certified seperately.

Got my name changed back (thanks @Nik)

Here's some more photo's from the bwarp meet that Ryan took (guy with the old civic)

I should have given my car a clean really. Dirty as f*ck.

There's some more pics of the other 2 cars if any of you are interested, I can put them up if you wanna see :p

Test fitted a friends wheel.

NOTE: The car isnt fully dropped as the tyre was completely flat and we could only tighten the wheel nuts with our hands as the wheel brace/wrench/socket was too big. So with the wheel properly fitted, the car will be lower and wont have positive camber like it does in the pics.

Rays Nismo LM-GT2
17x9 +23 with 215/45 tyre

What do we think?

Stretched tyres are for gheys. Those wheels would be OK if they were painted a dark colour and didn't have that stupid nismo logo on them (maybe the modern logo would look better)

They have a good amount of poke on them, I'm not a massive fan of them though, hate to say it your stock rims suit better :-/ ones on the floor without rubber, they sparco's? Can u fit them lol?

Nah they ones on the floor are cheap and nasty. I think they look pretty good, correct period, nismo, made by Rays and imported from Japan nice fitment too.

I think my current rims are grim. They're FWD offset, mismatched tyres, scrub on full lock on the inner guard/arch liner

Thought I'd see how my Dodo Juice would work on the Skyline...
Shame they dont get Dodo Juice here really, it's fricking good sh*t.

Much shine. Very reflections. Wow.

Needs a good clay bar + DA polish then most of the paint will be looking saweeeeeeet.

Bumper and bonnet is letting it down though :( Might try getting a small pot of paint and touching in the stonechips with a toothpick.

Jack!

All those white spots on the front are stone chips? Christ! I thought you'd just driven through a puddle or something after cleaning, but before taking photos.

Looks cracking waxed, I like the other wheels though, old school cool.

Why on earth are you using scissor jacks ffs?

Haha need to buy a proper trolley jack at some point. It was the only jacks we had at my friends house. Yeah the nismo rims are pretty cool but I think sorting out the bodged wastegate setup and intercooler should be a priority.

Well these are now mine! :D

Gonna get a pair for the front ordered from Japan, then depending on their condition I'll either get them all refurbished or just these 2 refurbished as they have some pretty bad curb rash that I tried sanding out, but found out they're clear coated so now I've sanded off most of the clear coat on the lip of one of the wheels.
