New Induction Kit/Fresh Clean

Well finally got round to fitting my induction kit last week! I had one on it but it was a bodge job. was one off a vauxhall so finally managed to get a new induction bend off here and went on fitting the new one!

Also gave it a clean today so thought I'd put some pics up:rasp:

and probably hinder performance. A CAF pointed at the IK and possibly a heat shield will sort you right though

engine will suck in hot air instead of cold. you need something along the lines of a simote aerofoam i happen to have 1 for sale

this or even, buy a relocation pipe and fit the open filter further away from engine. To do a good job you would have to relocate the battery mind

Get a V6 espace airbox and Pipercross filter, the ITGs have been proven to give less gains over the Pipercross.

Just been offered a PH1 airbox tempted, whats the difference from this to the standard PH2? Whats better about it? easily fitted?

Go for the PH1 airbox mate. JonF has just got one and he's made up with it. Its just generally a better product than the PH2 airbox, gives better throttle response and suposed to be a bit more power too albeit probably not noticable.

Espace V6 airbox is almost the same too, suposed to be slightly better but i'd just go for whichever you can get cheaper.

They sound good if you run them without the air feeds too, heat soak isnt an issue either according to JMS Tuning, as intake temperatures just before the battery where they take air in is only 2-3 degrees over ambient @ 60mph.

Fitted ph1 airbox with k&n what a tight squeeze that is! feels a lot more responsive and a bit quicker without less heat soak from the pipercross

Yeah mate, got it with it was expecting a paper filter in it but it had a k&n in it FTW!
