Anyone know why "iPhone 5" was trending last night on twitter for about 2 hours? I didn't want to click on the dodgy links. Everyone was saying release date was brought forward to next month? We calling bullshizzle?

Thats not correct. Its unlikely iOS 6 will be finished in a month and theres no way a new device will ship with an older OS.

I'm not overly keen on the case design tbh, but I'm sure it will be worth it. I'm rolling on a monthly contract until it comes out.

I read one rumour that suggested August due to competition from the Galaxy S3 which is selling really well. But we all know that won't bother Apple.

All the rumours about new features, design, etc, all seem to have October as the time so that's what seems most likely to me.

I saw something a year or so ago. It just detects when you break the beam to the key and puts it up on screen. Kinda clever but kinda simple.

Hoping an Apple phone will stay usable for longer than 8 months

The only thing to do is not to use the next version.

It's the same as anything. When you first started driving the 1.2 or whatever you had seemed fast. Then you got something else. Went back and 'zOMG! This thing is slow' same thing applies to phones/computers.

I haven't tried out other phones for just that reason, but I can just tell that this Sony is running nowhere near as well as it did when i first got it.

recently fallen out of love with my smashed up iphone, but had to bite the bullet, paid apple 119 quid and got myself a referb new one in love with my 4 once again... there are a few things missing here and there, but at the end of the day its all the phone you'd ever need... iphone 5 will have to do well to improve really!
