New member - seat subframes/in car stereo and speakers

  Williams 2
Hi all, I recently bought a minty mint 182 in black gold with both cup packs.

Anyway, really impressed with the car in terms of spec, speed etc, but 2 major problems for me. Seats are too high, and standard stereo is shocking!

Any advice/guidance would be appreciated...

- I've looked into the options available with regards to lowering the seats. I don't want buckets, but have read that you can take out the plastic rubber washer things where the seats bolt down. That only works out to 10-15mm but i'm looking for a good inch or 2 drop. Has anyone removed some of the foam from the seat base to sit lower? Or custom subframes that mount the standard seats lower? Eg: taking them to a welder to cut them down a bit?

- What is the best way to upgrade the stereo slightly? I don't want an amazing system just something that is decent enough...I have a nice Sony headunit to go in the car, would this improve the sounds a bit? If not what is recommended to improve the speakers? I dont want to cut or chop the car and definately do not want a sub or 6x9's...any ideas?

Thanks
