new rear brakes, handbrake

I have just changed the rear brakes on my cup and all seems good. I have a small prob though for some reason the handbrake takes more clicks before it engages ( was about four clicks now about eight ) Is it normal to have to adjust the handbrake after new discs and pads?

not normally, easy to do though

Any ideas why it would have gone out of adjustment?

you lose the adjustment as you screw the piston back into the caliper to make room for the new pads/discs, although they should automatically re-adjust once you've used the pedal

Right 'o' cheers for that not driven it except on, off drive after doing brakes will take it out and see if its any better.
