New shape clio steering wheel on a mk 172?

Dont take the P***, know nothing about steering wheels but have just picked up a loan clio from renault that has a fairly sweet leather wheel on it...

Would it be an easy thing to do or are the mechanics completely different a mk2 172???

Yes it wouldnt be the cheapest option but my cheap bit of plastic is the only thing that lets my car down...

I *think* the splines are different (the bit the wheel mounts onto) It would be awesome if it did fit, as my 182 wheel is waaaay too big!

I also wonder if yours has cruise.Is it the same electrics used.Could be a nightmare

They are only switches on the wheel, nothin too hard imo

I've a 52 plate 172 with no switches, the hire clio has a leather wheel without switches so i wouldnt have to worry about CC etc
