I'm running warhead at Gamer, with a few things on Enthusiast. It all plays fine on max, but I'm too fussy about framerates.

How do you do those 3d benchmark things?

Also in Vista (games) it benchmarks your machine with a number and then lists the number that the game suggests i.e. a score of 1 to play minesweeper yet the system might be a 6 or 7??? Fear 2 came in at 4.8 - 6 as a guide.

Is your machine benchmarked on vista and if so what is it? ta!

Well this system maxes out Vista at 5.9 on all components if that's what you mean.

Isn't 5.9 the highest score.

Yes I have actually played some games. Been playing Warhead and Left 4 Dead . The visuals are just stunning on both. It also a bench fest aswell lol

I will have to check again but I sware I couldn't see 1920 x 1200 on Warhead :S

Yeah well that's the thing it doesn't take much to max out the scores on vista.

Adam. Not sure dude. Do you have the 'drivers' for your monitor installed? Your OS might not be seeing 1920x1200. I doubt it, and it should just 'see' it anyway. Sometimes games can be funny. Warhead should be no problem though.

You'll be able to find a config file where you can force it, but it should just work anyway

Yep drivers are installed for the Samsung. Vista is set to 1920x1200 and Left 4 Dead also recognises that resolution.

Like you say I will look for the confrig file and try and force it through.

I just checked mine, and it's definitely offering my system every resolution, including the slightly odd (for PCs) 1920x1080.

Mine is definitely running in 1920x1200, that's for sure

Finally got the resolution sorted in Warhead...

Document -> My Games -> Crysis_WARHEAD ->
There is a file called 'game'. Open it with notepad and change the following 2 options accordingly.

r_Height =
r_Width =

My only query is why spend all that money on a CPU that barely gets touched by games when you could have bought the next one down AND another GTX295 for the same money?

I'd have been doing this, but they've only just released a motherboard that interests me... The P6T6 WS Revolution. Trouble I have is I run 2x enterprise-level storage controllers in my machine...

Yup - you had to do this on BF2142 - editing the target line was the easiest way to do it. Can you believe that it didn't even support 1280x1024 natively from the options screen? :nono:
