Newbi! Amp and speakers

  Fiat Panda 100hp
Hia fellows,

I have just got myself a pretty nice looking clio sport and the car came with 2x sony 6x9s and 2 in the doors at the front, not sure of the watts on these but the pacelshelfs are 150w each.

The car also came with a 12 disc multichanger in the boot and a control panel on the dash. The car has original stero but doesnt look bad.

My question is, to get full power out of my speakers should I invest in a seperate AMP to put in the boot, then conect the all 4 speakers up to this, so I dont have to buy a new head unit, or do I have to? :S

I dont have the car yet and cant give anymore details.

Thanks alot for any help.

you wont get a decent 4 channel amp for 50 quid mate unless its second hand or damaged. Probably around £100- £130 for a half decent one new. (realistically)

Id get a 2 channel cos its simpler n cheaper (kinda).
thing is, it would have to be half decent,
i would hook up th 6x9's n then from there if you want, share the connections
with the door speakers.
Before anyone sez owt i know that 4 channel amp n the rest would be better but
on a budget this would be good enough.

ok thanks pal. If i do your option Lynk, then will it still sound good without getting a new HU?

If your going to amp any of the speakers make sure its the fornts not the bloody 6x9's

Dunno how many times its been said on here but amping 6x9's drags the sound stage behind you. And as one of the guys on here used ot say.

you dont go to a concert and stand with your back to the band.

Hence why a lot of people including myself dont even run rear speakers with amped fronts you wont hear them much anyways.

And for £100 brand new.

Cant really beat JBL for the cash they charge and thats a 4 channel with a fairly hefty output per channel.

So if I that JBL I would only connect the front speakers, and I would leave the 6x9s hooked up to the head unit?
