I wonder how many Inferno Cups were specs with Recaros form factory, I cant see its very many and i doubt many are left at all, wishful thinking that mines the only inferno

I've got Recaro's in my Inferno ... wasn't factory fitted in mine though.

Mine used to have them, but they don't mix well with kids climbing in and out of the back.

So, I am after some advice now. I have been driving my cup for nearly 2 months now and i have noticed two problems.

1. The wipers, indicators and windows are intermittent and work when you first start the car but then they all stop working at together, random times for random amounts of time then all start working again at the same time, if you restart the car then they all work fine again, I have a suspicion that it is the UCH, would i be correct in thinking this and has anyone had this replaced? if so what was the cost?

2. My heaters worked perfectly fine when i first bought the car, but after a few weeks they started being intermittent, and now they vary rarely come on and if they do it's when ever they want to and not for very long at all, I have a 182 cup, does the cup still have the heater resister and could this be the culprit?

Cheers in advance Dave

So I've fixed the UCH problem :)

But I'm having some trouble with the heaters. On a normal clio 182 the resistor pack is usually the culprit, on a clio 182 cup, there is no resistor pack, does anybody know anything about this?

So Ref the heater blowers not blowing anymore.

There was a loose connection between the heater resistor and the blower motor. Tried to fix it but the connection would not work when back inside the housing so a new heater resistor and a new blower motor were installed. Working fine now :)

So that is it, the cars now pretty much perfect mechanically and not much wrong with it cosmetically either :) Happy Days

Nice one! I've had all that recently with the heater playing up on mine, was stuck on full heat AND full speed. A new genuine resister sorted the speed so can be adjusted again now, and doesn't APPEAR to be blowing solid heat so ignorance is bliss there 😂

Satisfying getting it done isn't it!!

I ignored my all through summer but its started to get chilly so though I better do something about it, its nice now know the cars mechanically sound :)

Although there is a slight knock from the driver side when turning at low speed, but after looking at it myself, then my brother, then the MOT tester, then a Renault specialist looking for it on a ramp twice, I've given up searching and used your method is ignorance is bliss haha

So It has been pretty smooth sailing with the clio for the past 6 or 7 months but Now have a problem and wondering if anyone could shine some light.

I noticed a slight bearing, knocking noise, you wouldn't notice if you went listening for it.

Hand a look round the engine and noticed that the crank pulley has a slight wobble?

but then used a piece of wood to listen for the noise and the noise is loudest when wood is directly on the AC pump.

Is there supposed to be a slight wobble on the crank pulley?

not sure if the AC is broke? it still works perfectly fine? or if the pulley on the AC is broken or if the noise is coming from the crank pulley?

Anyone had and issues like this?

Cambelt and all tensioners were replaced at 69K, car is ok 77k, belts were done 3 years ago
