Non Renault Brake Discs

  Bumder With A Buffer
What are people's opinion's/views on getting non genuine brake discs from places such as GSF, Euro Car Parts etc??

Am after the rear ones and Renault want £130, GSF £70 per Disc.

Euro Car Parts have discs but you have to get the bearings and press them in... works out at £86 for discs and bearings from them.

Bearings arent hard to fit are they??

Bearings need pressing in and its an easy job with the right kit. Problem is non gen disc's do not come with the abs rings. (not an issue if u have a 172cup) These may be able to be swapped (Renault don't sell separate) Gonna try on mine soon. Didnt risk it on my old ones, just replaced the bearings coz the disc's were ok

euro car parts said to me, non renault rear discs with abs rings & pressed bearings for the 172 mk2 £78.11 for the pair inc vat.

Depends how rusty they are, you shouldnt have any trouble getting the old rings off. A small hammer and chisel got mine off, have to be careful though as they bend.

When I ordered rear discs from GSF they were £130. £164+ vat from Renault.
