need two new tyres.....£140ish

set of decent alloys plus brand new tyres all round £400ish....seems like a good idea, except the to$$ers at Norwich union want another £200 on my policy for 16s and the same again for lowering it making that almost a quarter the price of the car for new wheels...took me about half an hour to find this out as well as the pleb on the phone didnt understand what i was saying..... not such a good idea after all...rant over.

185/55s are expensive! (assuming they are what you've got?)

Swap to 195/50s and the price comes right down, plus they make virtually no difference to the speedo.

NU are crap....they will happily let you leave rather then keep you.

Most companies are now stopping mods or cutting down.

NU didn't even tell me that my insurance had expired on my old car, before getting the 182. I was in the middle of a divorce and mislaid the paperwork and they sent no reminder. I was driving around for a few days without proper cover until I suddenly thought. Not an issue for them to let me go either. They weren't bothered in the slightest.:rasp:

each mod with norwich union is 10% with a max of 3 mods. I work for them til october then they are laying our call centre off and giving all our jobs to people in india!! Real employee friendly company

i am with admiral, paid £120 extra a year last week to declare my bucket seats. was with norwich union before on all my cars and they wouldnt touch me with the cup. dont insure young drivers on big engine cars. i am 19 btw

hmm seems they dont have a common policy......like i said....£195 or something for 16's....and the cars CAT1 alarmed...and they wanted more for lowering...

wish i could mate it automattically applies the load. They wont charge if you have just got a backbox and not a full system as it doesnt give any more bhp aswell. Bit of info for ya's
