Not your usual induction kit thread

Evening

Had a search but couldn't find anything that definitive.

Im looking at buying a Pipercross Viper, whilst having a look on the bay iv spotted a couple for less than half price brand new, BUT... there for different cars.

Is the filter (the enclosed part) all a generic mould and the only part that separates them are the brackets/hoses they are supplied with? If so it seems to make sense to but one of them and "adjust" some bits to fit it.

I have a viper on mine at the moment and from what i can see it will fit any car with the right elbow connected. I payed 35quid posted from a breaker on here and tbh that was cheap, so instead of paying big bucks might be worth a try from them, just they need a massive clean,
