right the question is can a car built in 1999 have a private W- reg plate one it. also if i was registered on a V is it still possible to transfer a W- reg plate on it as a private plate

im a bit confused and cant work it out.

i hanve a 96- N reg valver but there are many 95-M platers

95 M platers and 94 M platers

You cannot make your car appear younger than it actually is.

In other words, if the car is a w reg then you can only put on a reg from A-W or earlier i.e. suffixed or dateless.

So, no you cant put that w reg plate onto a v reg car, even if they were registered in the same year.
