Obisound Exhaust

The Supersprint has a 70mm tail pipe, then the rest of the pipework is 63mm inner diameter. (dogmauls is 70mm inner)

The main difference between the zorst designs is that i have a flange, so i can fit the original CAT back if needed. The 70mm doesnt have this.

I can only assume (havent had car on rollers yet) that i will be pushing out simlar power to the 152 atw that dogmaul has got, although it has been sujested that i may get more tourque due to the smaller tube. Im not really that bothered, it feels much more eager to rev from 5k upwards, and the exhaust doesnt really clear its throat untill 4k.

Is yours as loud as dogmauls,i used to have a straight throu on my old mk1 so i like em loud.

Do you get pops/bangs etc without the cat.Just had a look at supersprint.com sent them an email about availability.

the lazer systems i have tested and are basic back boxes........w**k too. granted they are cheap and no noisy.

Yes. Lots. All the time. loud.

Spoke to the uk ditributer today(euro something)and they can get me the 70mm system in 2 weeks,ive not ordered it yet as dont have the cash till end of the month but its coming soon

Jacko, do you know if the supersprint race exhausts (both 63mm & 70mm) pass the 98db noise limiit set on some trackdays? What air filter do you use with your system?

Errrm I sometimes use a Pipercross IK but i dont really feal a gain becasue i havent got enough shielding from the engine, so i think it gets too much hot air.

As for the noise, I seem to remember Dogmaul saying that the zorst is too loud to pass the 98db test and that he had 2 wedge some wire wool down it for the test

If you phone the distributer or demon tweeks and give them the part numbers for the 70mm system see what they say,dont say im talking bollox just cause someones told you lies in the past when you tried to get the 70mm system you prick.

Big Dave, how much did they say for the exhaust system @ 70?? was it from eurostyling in MK??

What did they say about it, details wise?? erference to de-cat , easy to put on original cat?? any other details?? Would be a great help m8

Cannot put the original cat back on with the 70mm system. With the 63mm system you can because the flange is in the right place.

Marvel they said £510 for full exhaust,but you cant by it from them need to get it from Demon Tweeks or another Supersprint supplier.As wacko said cant put cat back in with 70mm system.

I have looked on the supersprint web site but i cant tell if the de cat pipe for the 63mm racing exhaust is compatible with the two lamda sensors on the 172 Cup. Can anyone help with the answer?

No you only get one hole.

However, all you need to do is unplug the second one. And all is well.
