OEM screen installation

Hello! right.... i went to reanult to attempt to purchase this screen holder and surround. When i went to the parts desk he starts telling me you can't get OEM parts. So goes looking in the accessories catalogue. I knew it wouldn't be in there... and it wasn't. So i said hypethetically i have the standard Sat nav installation and somebody has cracked the surround how do i go about finding a replacement. His answer was.. we don't sell parts seperately like that.. total idiot basically. Where can i order this part? would it be an idea to ring round some french car scrappies in an attempt to get a used one?

PS: what is the OEM screen? manufacturer and model no?

what a numpty, you can deffo get em new from renault, i think its a full top dash though?

Yup you need a full dash top

which is roughly £250

the screen is part of the VDO system, not sure if they can get them seperatly.....

Do a search u will find lots of pics and info regarding this.

Ask Mike172sport as he found out what the part number for just the screen.
Its not noted on the Renault technical system as a seperate part to buy (the whole dashboard is but its listed as £300 or so) but since it has a Renault part number you can order just the surround.
£15 I think it was.

Not 100% sure on dash number as I had a big problem in getting mine.
Best way to do it is ask who on the forum has factory fit full colour sat nav and use their registration number when ordering part.

VDO screen/system like this is perfect for this install.

dash is same level, pod with the screen is higher than the std car temp/time pod

youd have to buy a seperate right hand drive dash though, but yeah full system there.
