that is something i wouldnt mind doing . how do you go about changing the oil?
depends on your change intervals, and id disagree with that anyways, normal mineral oil breaks down any chance it gets if you give it some heat, and once its done that it cant go back, its buggered, leavin crap inside your engineQuote: Originally posted by king.stromba on 09 September 2003
I guarantee that a car run on bog standard halfords but changed regularly will be in better shape than a car run on Mobil 1 but only changed less frequently.
Unless its so thin and it dribbles out of all galleys and the cylinder head, leaves no film on the bores and takes a second or 2 longer to build pressure...........i hear metal against metal.Quote: Originally posted by BRUN on 09 September 2003
and thats why it flows very fast and gives you instant protection...
Ive heard bad things about Slick50 additives. Doesnt do much, the oil that carries the ptfe is low quality and may even clog up oil filters. The particles themselves are small enough to pass through the filter, but over time it can build up. Loads of research done on these additives and many are not favourable.Quote: Originally posted by AliasOmega on 09 September 2003

I use Halfords fully synthetic. Just changed it after 3000 miles. The car runs absolutely fine. Used expensive oil in the past and I cant tell a difference. If anything, the Williams felt less tractor like with the Halfords than will big brand oils.
