OIL FILTER CHANGE FOR A DUMMY!

  Trophy Rep
Hello, I've never changed an oil filter before but I am going to give it ago as I'm normally successful with DIY car bits and bobs and I've read that its pretty straight forward.

Anyway, I just want to check if these are the right bits..

Sump Plug removal key - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-t...el:Clio|Cars+Type:1.2+16V&hash=item2ec81b942a

Washer - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Oi...rParts_SM&fits=Model:Clio&hash=item4605bd0b8c

Sump Plug - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Oi...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4608df0e5e

Oil filter - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300715982788?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Are all these the right parts for a 1.2 16v 2002?

Also is there anywhere cheaper to get them from as sometimes eBay can be slightly more expensive for small car parts. I know i need grips to get the filter off and oil etc but are these parts the right ones?

Cheers

Why are you getting a sump plug as well? Just need the washer.

I'd go down to Renault (or try Renault Wolverhampton on here) and get a genuine filter & washer.

why do you only need the washer?

I've never bought parts directly from the stealers before, how do you go about this? do you need to ring up in advance so they can get them in or something?

Always a genuine filter and washer, they cost less than £10 do not bother with cheap crap for the sake of a few quid.

PM'd you bud, you only need the washer and filter as they're the only perishable bits. As for getting them - they're common service parts, walk in, up to the parts desk and ask for them!

If you phone Adam @ Renault Parts Wolverhampton...just tell him you are looking to do an oil filter change on your car (engine type) and he will sort it out for you. He is spot on, knows his stuff and his prices are spot on.

Give him a call tomorrow morning and he can give you a price...you can always say "No" :)
