Oil/fuel filter change 172clio

Just wondering does the oil filter screw off I can locate it but it won't budge it's in such a awkward position and I haven't changed 1 before just trying to do a bit of cost saving :evil:

Also does anyone know where the fuel filter is so I can give my car a minor service???

if you have a ph2 172 the filter is part of the fuel sender which is a complete unit if im not mistaken and a oil filter tools your best bet mate

Not sure to be honest mate it's a 02 plate if that helps lol but didn't know I would need filter tools

you have a ph2 so you dont need a fuel filter

You can do the oil filters the ghetto way if it's to tight. hammer a screw driver thru it and use that for leverage.

ps don't forget to drain oil first or you will make a royal mess lol

well my old oil filter tool wouldnt get mine off, so went to local factors for new one was like a band that went round, this kepot slipping so swapped it for some gian pliers style ones. that worked for me, but it is tight there

I take it your removing the fuel rail guard to get better access to the oil filter?

If its still hard to get off then just put a bit of wd40/GT85 around the rubber seal and leave it 5 min. Should come off easily then.
