Oil leak, or normal?

Car  ClioSport 182
I noticed today that I have small deposits of oil (collecting to form "rivers") in the engine bay of my 182. This is odd as I never have had to top up the oil since buying the car almost 2 year ago.

Here are some snaps taken directly above the engine (without the useless plastic cover!):

As you can see its not much. Should I be concerned, or is this considered to be "normal" in day to day use.

Thx,

One way to know, is to monitor your oil level.
If its going down enough for you to see on the dipstick then you've probably got a problem.
Recently had to have my head gasket replaced/fixed. When the top cover to the engine was removed, the outside of the engine block had oil on it, NOT GOOD  .
Maybe it worth a check, its got to be comin from somewhere!!:S

Mines going in on tuesday, hopefully to get fixed. They tried to say id spilt it when topping up!!! lol

^^

Don't get me started!

To be honest... I can't be bothered with the humiliation of getting it fixed.

A bit of engine cleaner every couple of months works fine!

its quite bad though, they said they'd cleaned it but when i got home there was oil there again.

Mine has a small weep on one of the bolts, what is the fix for it?

Don't quote me, but I've heard people have used gasket sealer stuff on some bolts, to stop them leaking. :star:
