I thought it was goin to be something bad to!

Look a lot better, im sure once the springs bed in a bit it will be a bit lower though.

yea looks like 40mm to me will be lower when u get some 'BIG' boys or girlsies in the back seats man onest mine went down about 5-10mm more after its WELL bedded

Cheers for the comments guys, its sooo easy if you have a bit of common sense and the tools. was going to surrey to get ollie to do it but couldnt wait and did it myself. 2hours is not to bad i dont think for a first timer

Well done, were they lowering springs or coilovers?

Springs are fairly str8 forward but coils arnt! Either way well done for doing it!

I'm the same I am Kack handed when It comes to car mechanics. I just slam it donw my local garage.
He will have a post on here tomorrow though showing his car in a bush and saying that two of the wheels had fell off or something

How do you go about lowering your ride hight? is it simply a case of taking it to a garage and saying 'lower it by 40mm please) or do you need new springs? I've no idea, which I why I'm asking what the process invloves.

did you just buy springs? my gf has a dynamique and i want her to get it lowered.

if so whered you buy yours?

yup just -40mm apex springs, feels alot more stable around corners and feels alot stiffer too :D. just been out for a little drive and it looks lower already

lol and how was your experience in fitting it?

Nicely done, i would have been abit sketchy doin it my self. Does the car drive nice now? lol

yeah drives alot nicer, bit bumpy but i like that lol :D the instructions are in the guide section written by fred i think

Piece of piass to fit Clio springs! Well done for doing it yourself though!

Im a mechanic so its obviously easy for me, fitted some Eibachs to my 172 yesterday, took about 20 minutes

I lowered my old Saxo once, now try working out torsion bars!!

apparently a good mechanic who knows exactly what hes doing with a rust free car(or one thats had wd40 on it) can lower both sides of the torsion bar in 25mins?
true or false?
