yeah ive just started with a simplicity tariff as my contract just ran out. ill keep my g600 until the next hardware update

Just as a question really i'm sure theres a reason for it, but if the iphone has bluetooth that allows the use of handsfree kits (or it will do with the new update) why is it not possible for some geeky pr0 hacker y0 to make a cheeky little app that lets you use normal bluetooth aswell?

Seriously? they are adding official bluetooth, the one my w810i has that lets you send files of any type between phones to the iphone officially?
I thought it was said they'd never do that because people would send songs etc from itunes.

Carrying on from above problem, went to Apple today with phone, they checked it over etc and decided to give me another iPhone (number 3), got out the shop and asked my mate to call me to check it was working, still coming up unknown.
Went to nearest o2 shop and it turns out my sim is faulty!!
o2 shop I visited through in Edinburgh said to me it was a faulty phone hence me trailing to Glasgow!
I've ended the day with a nice new shiny iPhone and a new sim!!
Have tried restoring my iPhone, all calls still showing as Unknown
Looks like another trip to Apple on the cards!

Congrats on the new phone. Charge it till it says it is full, no need to keep it on a charger for a extended length of time.
I think I'll install 3.0 b2 on my iPhone this weekend, had a play with it on a friends iPhone and it looks good and is stable enough for everyday use.

No it'll not see a final public launch till the summer, probably July. The only issue my friend has had so far is a need to reboot the iPhone once every day or so as it eats up free memory often. I can live with that. MMS is well implemented and copy and paste is very cool.

On my personal device. So far i've had no reason to regret installing the beta and the extra functionality is worthwhile. Hopefully I'll feel the same after several days of use, never can be sure with beta firmware. Be sure and have your iPhone registered on a developer account before installing the beta firmware.

Im also running the latest 2 beta...been running i for the past few days....and no regrets so far...seems to work fine and much better than the first beta.
Maybe not worth updating if you dont need the landscape keyboard + copy/paste and A2DP ....as its not really worth it at the minute imo.
Runs well though for a beta.
