Ordered my Cup from Alex Levington at Evans Halshaw up in the Tyne.
a shade over £14000 with all optional extras, I am very happy indeed .
Should have it 1st or 2nd week of January, And it is in glacier white and black speedline alloys

If not i'll just spunk a load of money on the 172 instead.

Glacier or Nimbus - £175...Racing Blue Standard
Decals on the side i think.

To be fare, all the options id class as essentials.

Speedlines and Recaros possibly yes. A/C if you want to re-sell it to a softie but its not essential.
Curtain airbags i'd leave off.

I went for the curtain air bags incase I crash
Not good without them, When I crashed my 1st phase 2 172 the curtain air bags saved me so this is why I must have them.
I dont particually care about the cup spec of the car! The only thing I car about is that the car is in White, Superb colour1.
I almost bought an R27 2 months back until I heard this was out, so I waited for the colour!
I can't see any of the extras really effecting the performance
How much does the aircon system weigh?

Can anyone but me in a cryogenic chamber until January?

Well my MK2 172 is now over 5 years old, and on 80,000 miles and still on the original bulbs. [touches wood]

Xenon's have a much longer lifespan so all things are relative. They do not rely on a brittle element like conventional Halogen units do. I really would not want to go back to a car without them having owned a car with xenons. I had the misfortune of driving my brothers car on country lanes recently and it was like driving with a couple of candles strapped to the bonnet in comparison.

You'll be able to order an R26 in white with black wheels as well. I was quoted £17149 for one with a spare wheel and Xenons. So tempting, but just too expensive for me
