oreca exhaust on a 172 (pics?)

Well its not new from OMP. Its either old stock or a fake

They're not restrictive, they are pretty much an exact copy of the OMP units.

Infact there are two versions of the Oreca, the 2 1/4 inch Group N (same spec as the OMP) and a 2 1/2 inch Group A.

i know this, it has to be under the limit of 95 db or what ever it is these days but apart from that im not overly arsed

Somehow doubt that Oreca will be under that with a de-cat, the backbox is tiny.

I've got a ktec stealth, sounds perfect. Not too loud but sounds good if you give it some welly. I'd imagine the ktec recessed sounds similar if you wanted to see the exhaust.
 
I were under the impression that k tec were re branded jan speed exhausts and they were quite restrictive?

Where could I get a yozza from seen as the orecas are too loud to go on track?

Janspeed may make Ktecs exhaust but its exclusive to Ktec, its not rebranded.
Yozza can be got from Fred at BTM from February
 
Thanks kamracing. I'm guessing but are yozza exhaust aloud on track?

Or are they too loud too with a de cat?
 
i've got an oreca group n system on my 172 looks mint an sounds wicked (raspy) according to the chaps at ktec there selling like hotcakes! Wicked fit an real good quality. If i get chance i'll take some pics

Im also interested in a video, just noticed this comes with a de-cat, yeah thats gunna be bloody loud, the group A version even more so!
 
i was looking at buying an OMP system for my 172, couldn't find one anywhere. So i had prospeed make me one with a slight few alterations.

2.5" decat back, straight through to the back box. 2.5" cut tail pipe.

sounds amazing! Rasp rasp rasp :D and its not quiet as you can imagine.
 
its probably around the same when mine comes on cam, just my system doesnt sound as hollow (if you get me) think my backbox has a bit more packing than that.
I should get a vid up of it really. Sounds awsome, and when i ease off its pop pop bang :D

i just looked at vids of the oreca race system now. Mine sounds alot different. They sound high pitched, raspy. Empty sounding.

Mine sounds fuller, bit deeper sounding. And doesnt drone as much when easing off. Probably not far off as loud though when on cam.

You'd be wrong then, as posted in other exhaust threads the Ktec got the best BHP/Torque gains by PFC in a dyno shoot out.

Would be great to have another shoot out between existing exhaust makers.

Hmmm....... I'm sure there are alot of variables involved with a possibly biast performance exhaust test.

( I do not in any way say that it is biast )

I'd recommend keeping an open mind
 
has maybe someone any additional info about this powersprint firm? I've found on the net that they are a co-firm of supersprint (that they do supersprints race exhausts), i saw on their page alot of group N and A exhausts...for example - clio 172 they have group A 63 mm.
