Pads required for Rotary.

I currently have this Rotary: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260132057392

At present, it has a wool pad which ties over the rubber backing plate but this doesn't appear to be a particularly good pad.

My questions are, which pad/pads would be good as all rounders or would I need a different pad for different applications?

How do the new pads attach to the Rotary, do the attach to the already fitted rubber backing pad?

Cheers

Rich, you are a ledge.

My process would be as follows:
Megs Gold Class
Megs Clay
Megs Gold Class
AG SRP
AG EGP
P21s Carnuba

Would I use the SRP on the polishing pad then the finishing pad?

If I wanted a mild cut on certain areas could I use the polishing pad or would I need the cutting pad? What product would be best for the cut?

Sorry for all of the questions.

The SRP - Can use it on either pad, as you say you will get a touch more correction by polishing pad, but due to the mildness of it not much.

By rotary you can do some decent correction with a polishing pad, needing a cutting pad for heavier defects. You will really need some decent polishes to do any real correction and get the best out of it.

I don't think the car will require any specific attention on the scratches so I will have a crack with the pads above.

Do the Megs 6.5'' pads require a 5'' or 6'' backing plate as I've seen conflicting info' on this.
