Paint Flaking Off Wheels! Refurb Needed?

Noticed that the paint has started flaking off the wheels of my girlfriends 197, (they were refurbed by the previous owner). As you can imagine she's not best pleased.

Seeing as the wheels aren't curbed at all can she get away with getting the wheels repainted cheaper than a full refurb?

Also, is there anyone who can recommend someone in or around the Cannock area? I've heard of a guy who does refurbs on your driveway, anyone got his details?

It'll be cheaper but they pretty much still need painted.

People think they only need re-lacquered but it doesn't quite work that way.

At least they're not damaged so easy fix. :) Anywhere local to get them done mate?

<-------- We have a 197 in our work shop for a full refurb at the moment, with this exact problem. We are stripping them completely and starting again, which is the only way to be sure they wont fail again, a bare metal respray :)

The chappy we are doing them for, the previous refurb they painted directly onto old paint without any prep, keying or even primer, there are some absolute cow boys who will quote you happy, but you'll pay many times over in the long run.

Cheers. Main problem is getting the car, or the wheels to the paint-shop. She works full-time and needs the car every day, so it's not easy to find time to sort it.

She's also mentioned getting them done a mad colour, any ideas?? :)
