painting rear 'black bit' on 182

i have blue 182 and at the rear just above the exhausts there is a black strip...... i am thinking of painting my calipers yellow which i think will look nice with my colour

1. can i paint this black strip????

2. will it look nice?????

I painted the black plastic around the exhaust pipes red, same as my calipers as i got red stuff pads an also painted the diamond red an think it looks ok. currently painting the silver back ground on the 2.0 16v badges red but leaving the lettering silver.

How easy is it to get the calipers off to paint them?

Its black. Use back to black or something and make it more black, and leave it at that.
