Painting Side Badges

Car  Storm Grey 200
So i want to paint some badges black with yellow lettering. So heres my method so far, i was going to prep them etc then prime then spray them black then wet and dry the paint off the lettering back to the primer and then use hammerite (so it matches the calipers) on the lettering with a fine brush. Then laquer. So is this any good? tips?

if you try to sand the lettering back to the primer you'll struggle. If you really wanna primer first (no need imo) get one of the touch up pens from halfords. otherwise methods fine

Ah right, so don't bother primer-ing and then use a touch up pen for the yellow, or whatever (Y)
