re-formatted my hd. installed all drivers, programmes etc. everything works great, apart from the keyboard. when i press shift and 3 i get '#' not a pound sign and '@' is found by pressing shift and 2!!!

How do i sort this, cos I'm a bit of a thicko really

i think its in US mode rather than UK, try goin into control panel then regional and language options, make sure everything in all tabs etc is United Kingdom and not US, not 100% if that will change it, report back sonny

You have the US keyboard layout im guessing.

Goto control panel > Languge Settings > click the languges tab then 'Add' look for the UK keyboard. and add it and use it, should sort u out.
