ph Quick Engine Rebuild

  Audi TT 225
Does anyone know the rough costs and labour for a complete engine rebuild on a ph-quick?
Theres nothing wrong with the engine that I know of, sounds a bit lumpy idling, I would like a good inspection for any wear or potential problems and renew everything like gaskets, seals, belts yadda yadda not a mechanic.

Mines well on the wrong side of 100k due to some unfortunate motorway milage and she could do with a whammy service but Im thinking I would like to give it a complete overhaul so its more or less good as new.

Cheers

Seriously?

To infinity... and beyond! I'll drive it till it blows then lol

Would there be any issues dropping a cup lump and box in?
I think the gear box should be ok because it has a speed sensor on it, I wouldn't want the faffy throttle body either

new engine is £1250+vat from matt black, but i don't think he has any left now

you can use any 172/182 engine, all the same

you have to use your mk1 plenham and TB

Good because Im not polishing another one!
What makes the cup quicker, is it just the weight or is the mapping or box any different?

Also whats a round about cost of fitting a new engine and box if supplied?

What do you do about the milage if you had a new engine, leave it, fit new clocks?

just leave the mileage,

cup is mainly quicker due to the aircon, christurbos car for example came to us with aircon, we ripped it out and put the cup setup in, it left as a rocket!

fitting the engine and box is the easy part, its around 10-12hours labour depending on how experienced the person doing it is

Sounds sweet, Ph-Quick Cup, my christmas bonus is coming next month see :D

I never thought of dumping my air con, I don't use it either. Best of both, no traction control, propper TB but with cup speed!
