Ph1 172 Carbon Splitter Help!

I am after getting a K-tec carbon splitter but am unsure of the modifications needed to make it fit a ph1 172, does anyone have any tips?

Am i right in thinking its as simple as cutting a few inches off each end and using self tappers?

Also any pics of them fitted etc would be great

Yea im after the same info for my brothers car - any ideas?

wrong shape. so you could try cutting it down the middle and then resining it back together. but i still think the edges wouldnt sit right
