Fitted some Eibach proline springs to this while I was off over Christmas. There's not much difference on the front but they have sat the rear down well (was on pattern part springs before and sat crazy high)

The ride quality is EXCELLENT and it has cut the body roll down dramatically too so really happy all round.

I also serviced it this weekend with Gulf Competition Oil and a genuine filter, keeping up with the every 6k changes I've been doing since I had it. It's running spot on

Here it is looking bright after it's weekly clean:

Feedback welcome. Still loving this car thought it may be up for sale soon.

Very clean wee man, looks perfect!

Why you thinking of selling?

Cheers handsome, it near enough is mate, apart from the wanky rust bubble on the arch!

It's running me £300 a month on fuel atm. I've been offered a great deal by my dad on his Mazda 2 Diesel and with what the 172 costs to insure I doubt I'll be able to insure the both of them. With what I'd get for this I'm thinking of getting a MK2 Golf GTI or a 205 gti as my weekend toy and insuring it on a classic policy.

Nothing decided just yet, hoping Admiral will do me a deal so I can afford to keep this as my toy cos I'm really not liking the idea of selling it!

Looks lovely. Splitter, clear side repeaters and a cup spoiler would make this perfect!
