Ph1 JC5 box capable of handling a decent 250ftlb +



  Valver, Defender 90
Any advice on getting a JC5 box to this spec without costing the same as the engine itself?

Gripper LSD?
Shot peened and polished gearsets?
Extra additions???

Im taking these ideas from a member off WC running that powerful green maxi turbo.

Any thoughts?

difficult stuff tbh. Most of the valver turbo guys just use them stock as far as I know.
But renault gearboxes are not strong as I'm sure you know. It's one of the big advantages of using a VAG 20v.

Personally, I'd go with the gripper, but not bother with any of the others, just buy a spare box.
