Ph2 172 pulling right under heavy footing

Car  Clio Ph2 172
Hope someone can help,

My car is pulling right under heavy acceleration, no matter what speed. I know clios are known to be a bit feisty in 1st and second but this is excessive...almost dangerous.

Has anyone else have this problem? If so, is there fix?

Cheers,

Feels ok under normal driving as well? I'm sort of getting used to it now, but my mate borrowed it today and said he'd drive nothing like it, and not in the wow this car is brilliant kind of way!

Mine feels abit loose at the front end to be honest, pulls alittle when i hit a cats eye/pothole, nothing like it does when under heavy acceleration tha, checked ball joints etc all same fine. Heard a rumor that it might be inner track rods are whatever they call them but not sure how to check them.

geting the same thing....no matter wot speed im going at as soon as i accelerat it pulling to the right.....

just thinking wound it have any think to do with engine mounts worn...

last clio i drove that did that had a lot of toe-in on the front. You need to get a full component check, and have the alignment looked at

means the front wheels are pointing towards eachother. Toe out being away from eachother. 172 should have around Toe-neutral , but the tyre-place will have this in their allignement computer.

by the way when mine did this it was the lower ball joint needing replacing (wishbone-joint) . Track rod ends are also worth checking. Defo need this all checked to have a good thrash-able car ;)

i would say lower ball joints. Mines was doing this both ways on back roads. replaced both ball joints and track rod ends, got allignment done and problem went away.

Righto, will have the wheel alignment checked and everything hope for the best. I enjoy a good country b road but with my car like this, it's a bit scary.

If it is track rod end or wishbone, are either an easy DIY job?

i did the wishbone-joints myself. BUT ! Mind you when going to the dealer they will trie to sell you the complete wishbone; they do'nt sell just the joint !! Have a search around on here because just the joint can be had ! From a Megane or so i believe. Just the joints are on ebay for around 15pounds i believe

Just ordered 2 ball joints as the passenger side was fooked and driver side was on its way, garage said nothing else was broke so will let you know if this sorts the problem.
