Lol, similar to me chasing a 21 turbo ;)

(if you look closely you can see giles - Clio GB holding on for dear life ;))

lmao at the "chasing" people thread - is this during the "parade lap" lol!?

I've found a nice one of mine on there too :) (I was being chased by T28 PHY)

Very nice. Did you catch it?

only managed a few corners at a time, but I was surprised at how well I did keep up!

He was OBVIOUSLY quicker accelerating, but up to 50 this was negligible (we touched 80) and thro corners I could easily hang on.......

........ but then who knows if he was wringing it's neck?

Thats the owner of RSC's car, its a 2 litre Megane engine on throttle bodies, DCI keeping up with it :sleepy:

gotta agree with 172beast there, that particular 19 would have left you for dust mate, that car is fast as.

Also the amount of cack an smoke coming out your Clio when you boot it is shocking. I had the misfortune of being behind you, and it was like a James Bond car, lmao :D

it wouldnt beat a standard 19 valver so what hope has it got for chasing this beast down

not much ;)

lmao :D

as i said ...... who knows if it was having it's neck wrung - obviously not!

and I never EVER said it would 'beat' or 'match' a standard 19 either

cack out the back? - clearing it's throat - hope it wasn't like that on lap 2!

Certainly was - on every booting it was chucking smoking out like you wouldn't believe. Was mainly black which is it overfuelling, but it was slightly blue - but again to be expected. I'd check the fuelling on WOT, it didn't look too good. :S

what is WOT? passed MOT OK!

just watched the vid. of my laps on my mates mobi (passenger seat).

I did catch the 16v on approach to corners (as she was braking), but she did leave me standing -

fuelled by adrenaline with a bit of smoke and mirrors I guess :-(

Wide open throttle I'd guess.

Blue smokes not good though.
Mot don't check WOT usually.

You can get round donny quicker than faster cars if your not afriad to push hard.

That picture takes me back

Used to own a Renault 19 16v with full leather....what a good car that was:D

Loved mine, would still have it now over the 172 if some stupid woman hadn't decided to take me up the rear :(

Still hanker after another one with a new lump dropped in, I'm thinking VAG 1.8t power :)
