any chance you can explain how you get the black trim around the pipes to look/remain so black, iv got exactly the same car + milly, and the only thing that winds me up is that the trim around the pipes is a bit grey, iv tried the back to black stuff which is just a con!

Probably been replaced when they started fading - I'm going over mine replacing faded bits.

our exhaust is probs gonna need replacing in next 12-18 months max and we quite like the sound of the milly, not too 'rude boy' but still has a handsome growl - how d'ya find yours?
I think the mats you have might be for the ph3 if they've got renault sport on them, as we got our ph2 genuine versions through the other day and they don't have the cutout on the drivers side, but yours look smart as either way! SCHMEXY!

maps good well i think. revs much higher than standard. much smoother through the range and when idle.

i have brought some auto glym products from halfords and they had a buy 2 get one free deal and you had a choice of about 3 products which were by tutle wax. so i chose some the cheapo turtle wax wet look back to black. works good. only about £3 and go.
i apply a coat leave it for couple of mins and then give it another, leave for another couple and then buff it up with some kind of rag.to be honest i use a old tea towl. lol.
none of the trim has been replaced and the woman i brought the car off would never have done that. she was about 50ish lol and i dont think she wa that bothered. when i brought it the car had never been polished by the woman.

wot kind of heat soak do u mean.
the exhaust just sits as it came out of the garage after being fitted. the rubber mounts have started to perish though.

i agree, my front right has a redish/anthracite color, feckin cheap renault product.
i think for the money and the car, its just one of those love hate relationships.for cars around 4-5 yrs old they have a few niggles like that, along with the odd rattle here and there, but then, when you burn past a brand spanking Type R, 197, or poorly driven R32, you think haha i had a bloody good holiday on the difference mate!

so to sum up... suck it up, the 182's a pocket rocket that makes no secret about the fact that its a grin producing machine... multi colored wheel caps or not

i had a standard box on but i took it off. felt better with the k&N and is deffs quicker than a standard 182.

the standard silver gear was rubbish as the paint was wearing off so i rubbed it down to the black. just waiting to get another silver one from the breakers or when one cums up on ebay. just rubbed the silver off with t-cut.
