Hi,
Does any one know where may be able to get the proper connection so I can connect my pioneer cd player into the existing wiring of the clio? I normally just snip the wires and wire them up through a terminal block, but don't wanna do that on my new toy.
Cheers
plugs staright in, yo can get a stalk adapter for £25 but it comes with a remote for the steering neway, and i need to use that one as it has wireless telephone controls.
Hi, on a similar note i have also just had a Pioneer DEH-P5800MP head unit fitted which i bought from the USA. I was charged 35 quid for fitting and to have it wired to a block which enabled it to work in a UK car. I was also told that my headunit will never be able to be used with the steering controls. My questions are 1. was the guy in the shop correct in saying that the head unit would never work with the steering controls? 2. can i get the gadget to make the radio work properly for less than 30 quid? Your help would be appreciated guys.
Do you have like a headphone socket in the back of the stereo? I've got a similar problem at the minute cause I haven't got the remote socket at the back of the stereo. However there is a way which im looking into now, if your stereo works with an ir remote, pioneer do a "ir cable stalk adapter kit" which comes in 2 parts.
The part numbers for my pioneer DEH-P6500R are:
CD-RA100+
CD-R103/4RN
These are probably different to the ones for your stereo, but if it does use the ir remote they may put you on the right path.
If your stereo does have the 3.5mm socket in the back then you can use these:
