lots of people say standard (with for example ITG panel). Me too ;)

My car had an open one on there (took it off after one week) , seemed to loose torque a bit and throttleresponse was less. Fuelconsumption was worse.
Sound was Bombastic

as Doug said...

You can nicely use that piece of tube you've already got there in the pic. Probably will fit to your airbox. Run it somewhere down below the headlight at the wheelarch. maybe your old feedconnectors are still there.
Take off the wheel, dismount the protecting plasti/rubberthing in wheelarch (soorry, Dutch) so you can reach down there... this way you'll have a nice amount of space to work.

Maybe you'll be able to get there by removing battery ? Anyone else know this ?

yeh maybe just remove battery and see how you can fiddle your caf down to beneith the wheelarch, good amount of cold air there away from engine heat

All he needs to do is just put a Sports panel filter in the original filter housing and run the original CAF or better CAF to the original place in the engine bay at the front of the battery. Gains are crap in the 1.2 anyway.

best setup i had on my 1.2 16v was the standard airbox but i cut it open and modified it to allow it to flow more air, K&N Pannel filter and larger, wider CAFgoing to the standard cold air duct behind the front grille (ull see it, it leads to thebattery bit)

anyone will be okay.. just used to the idea of foam because when i had the scooby the cotton ones had to be oiled and this could kill the boxer  (MAF sensor defect because of oil-deposit from filter, engine running lean, possible end of engine follows)
