Planes, Ferries and Automobiles...

I was over taking, no fast or out side lane as it should be called, just a single carriage way! As i came out and started to go past, a car from a side turning pulled out in front of me, facing me. We hit, my near side to his off side, dont forget his car is left hand drive, so it was like near side to near side for us English. You understand any better now fella?? lol.

True, so both in wrong then......

Best not to overtake on Junctions in case some dickhead doesnt look both ways before pulling out....comonsense really isnt it....

Something that is drumed into you when you do Advanced Driving course.

no the car that pulled out is in the wrong as any traffic on the road regardles of direction has right of way !!!!

  Nippy white cup

In all honesty the juction was a lot lower than the main road, the road was long and straight and I bet 3 cars a day use that little junction. The timing was terrible but at least Marc and Steve were ok. It was just a shame that they couldnt be there to enjoy the holiday with us.

Hope it all gets sorted out m8

Cheers

Der, did IQs suddenly drop while I was away?? of course in LAW the car that pulled out was in the wrong, but you shouldnt overtake on a juction period....

The out come was ok for all thank god, but if they had both died (as does happen with full head on crashes) who gives a sh*t if the car that pulled was in the wrong.

Dont overtake on Juncs if you value your life.....

I Guess no one here has done any Advanced Driving????

Simon.

Anyway, I am not trying to give blame to SteveV6 for his actions, on the contry, I am sure he knows the dangers of junction overtaking now, there are to many bad drivers that just dont look before they pull out...some people learn the hard way....dead, to some its just more gain experience becasue they live to fight another day.

I AM GLAD YOU ARE OK STEVEV6, No offence mate, this is not aimed at pulling you down, just making a good driving statement.

Bought that number plate before i had even taken delivery of my Mk1 vee. April 1999, if i remember correctly. Never put it on the Mk1 though, but thought i should put it on the Mk2, rude not too!!

As for the side pods, only one left, the other one was obliterated in the impact, lol. but still worth a buy back if its on the cards, only thing is the cars is still in France.
