Possably Stolen Clio

Car  172 A Cupwork Orange™
I have a friend who just passed her test so bought an old clio 1.1 for £400 same shape as the williams, she asked me to check the oil and in doing so i noticed the chassis number has been drilled in and then a clear plastic sticker placed over this, im no expert but im sure chassis number should be on a plate or something ?

yeh this one is defo drilled in lots and lots of very small drill marks small circles on top of eatch other etc

im going to pop over her house now and take a few pics of the car about a hour will be back and upload etc fred

As above, all Clio's are technically a 1.1 anyway even the mk2's as they are 1149cc.

exactly i always say that like my mate who has a pug 106 1.1 says yeh your cars obv gona be faster than mine its a 1.2 i'm like no realy it isnt, also its only 42cc more than yours.

i dnt understand car manufactorers like a 1.2 punto is 1242cc and a clio 1.2 is 1149cc so thats 93cc differnce for the same sized engine :S

Im sure when the first Clio mk1's were produced they were still making the 5 alongside it as a 'campus' model as they are now doing with the MK2 and Mk3. Must of had loads of 5 boxes and engines left over!
