Powdercoating prep

  Storm Grey 200
I am going to get some wheels coated I rang the company and told me to get them stripped at a place that they said, so i did,

They were chemically stripped, as the coater said, they seem to be not smooth and lovely and wondered if i should get them shot blasted as i wouldn't want to paint onto them.

I dont know if powder coating is any different to normal painting?

alarm bells

the wheels needs to be acid stripped then blasted and be 100% clean before powdercoating (ie no grease, dirt chemicals etc) should all be done on the same site really

the surface will feel like rough sand paper prior to coating, the powdercoat levels that off no bother
