Power steering problem mk1 172

My steering has gone stiff on my mk1 172. It has covered 58,000 miles. Anyone experienced this? Is it the pump? Belt? I have checked the pas fluid level and it's fine? Help?

Is the AUX belt broken?

Don't know what's wrong? Broken? How do I check the AUX belt? Sorry but I'm no mechanic

the belt will b on the left hand side of the engine( right hand side sat in the car)

pipe has prob burst comon problem, dont drive it the pump will overheat and die
