Power Steering Whine

I noticed the power steering pump on the 182 I viewed today whined a bit when parallel parking. I don't recall it whining on any of the three point turns etc. It was on full lock.

I've had a 182 before which didn't whine at all. Is the power steering pump on it's way out or is it a belt or something that just needs replacing?

Maybe you never heard it before in your 182 cos you always had your radio on , bet you had no radio on for your test drive ? Just a thought . I can hear mine whine , always have been able to since new , same with my 172 , not loud but i can hear it . It's a pump afterall , pumps make noises .

Yeah, the radio wasn't on which is probably why it caught my attention. If the fluid reservoir is accessible I'll give it a check. Just wanted to be sure.

Pretty sure they all my. My RB 182 and silver 172 both do..

Check the hoses!
Mine had a small leak before Christmas which led to much confusion, leak finally let ALL of the fluid run out of the car OVERNIGHT
