Have zero need for this now that ive been using the normal circular saw.
But its on back order so will most likely forget it and will be a tool surprise.

Plan was to use it for the replacement of floor boards with new chipboard.
Never worked out but still new tool coming soon.

Back to impact wrenches : is 700-800nM enough to remove some subframe bolts ? I need a gun for removing wheels, and do the brakes/ different arms/ suspension bushes , but also planing to remove the subframe and rear beam from Clio and refurb those.
Was looking at Dewalt DCF899P2 or a Milwaukee M18, both having around 800nm and 2 x 5A batteries.

Dcf 899p will easily spin subframe bolts out as they are tightened to a max of 105nm. It wont struggle with any bolts on a clio, it has no problems undoing hub nuts that are torqued to 280nm+. Crank pulley bolt flys out too no dramas at all.

I imagine lots of folk know this already but figured out the other day you can fit a normal hacksaw blade to a recip saw.

Real handy if you need to bend round a corner slightly to get down a tight gap.

My M12 6.0ah battery appears to have s**t itself, I’ve barely used it and now the fucker won’t charge 😖

Do you have a fast or slow charger?

Mine is sometimes fussy with the fast charger, so I do the M12 stuff with the slow.

Or you could try jumping it with another M12 if you have one.

I’ve just got a pair of these.

Will take a look into jumping the battery 👍

Try cleaning up the terminals. I had this with a brand new battery once. Gave it a clean out with air and it was good.

Anybody used a reasonably cheap metal sheer like below?

The fuel pumps messing me around on the mk3 and Renault in there infinite wisdom decided it was a tank off job to replace.
Which I cba with so I’m just going to cut the access hole larger but want something that’s not going to spark.

Tanks easy to drop on a 182, rather do that than use a sheet metal nibbler on it.

Edit - sorry, they are sheers. You can get nibblers even cheaper that go in your hand drill but I still wouldn't vs just dropping the tank unless its very crusty.

It’s the mk3 shitter and I’d have to take the whole exhaust off as it’s one piece and the rear brake lines which is a hassle just to swap the pump.
If it was a mk2 it’d be a piece of piss to change I cannot fathom why Renault decided to make the access hole smaller on the mk3. Bloody French.

Would a decent pair of tin snips not work?
I did think of that after posting I’ve got a decent set in the garage so might give it a go with that first.

Ahh my bad, yea snip snip.

DRILL NIBBLER

I haven't used one this s**t before but have used a nice air one and it flew through the 1mm sheet steel I was cutting.
