Mine isn't fuel and its been sound.
Granted the drill shat itself and got replaced by milwaukee with a brushless model. The impact driver has had loads of abuse though and still sound

If i was in the market again though I would 100% buy a fuel one though, hope that input helps with your purchase

I got the M12 one and regretted not buying the M18 every day since.
I got the M18 because I have M18 batteries/charger etc. I did not know there was an M12 version of it (I searched for M18 when I was looking for one)

Re Fuel combo, I've worked out what will happen. Emily will send the link to my dad, my dad will look around for a better deal not noticing or thinking that Fuel means anything... I will end up with brushed DeWalts that have been on a shelf for 5 years.

I will say thank you very much and then cry when in private.

I've got the M18 inflator, glad I shelled out extra, already had M18 batteries too which helped. What scared me off the M12 was I'm sure I read that you're only supposed to run it for 10 minutes or something and let it cool it off.

I think I read that in the manual for the M18 as well, only takes a few seconds though for topping up so I can't imagine running it for 10 minutes.

Different cells have different discharge rates. The class it as capacity* so really s**t cells might have a capacity of 2000mAh but a peak discharge rate of 5C (10A).

While high output cells might have a capacity of 1600mAh but a discharge rate of of 15C (24A)

The High output batteries will probably just be using better quality cells which are likely only available in slightly lower capacity hence 5Ah not 6.

You will also see output tail off as the battery heats up, regardless of battery type.

M12 inflater is sound with 5 or 6ah batt. 2ah doesnt last long but gets it done.

Defo want one of them cordless chisels. Need to get myself setup for m18.

They're looking to come in at about £600 going off US prices 😬

You'd think it would be better with a 6ah. I wonder what causes the change in performance? Or am I being THICK?

It's because that's why.
