Prima Racing - WP Pro 310mm Big Brake Conversion on a 172 Cup, HOW GOOD?

  Clio 197
The bigger disc will allow for slightly better cooling (larger surface area).

Drilled = better cooling in theory, but prone to cracking.

Grooved = helps reduce glazing, maybe improve intial-bite?

Not sure about the pads on that partiucular kit.

The yozzasport kit comes with either PF97 pads (track), or DS2500 pads (fast road/track, which is what I'm running) and works a treat... and will include the hoses too (AFAIK).

It also comes with std 280mm vented replacement discs (no holes/grooves), which are fine!

Fred,

You should start to include upgraded brake fluid in you brake packages. Especially with the track kit you will just boil the fluid then the upgrades are useless. For me the best performance vs cost is Silkoline pro race 2000. You should stress that upgraded fluid is esential for upgraded brakes...Especially at the Ring or serious track days..!!.

so which 4 pot kit is good? and how much? Also is there any other options with the yozza kit, such as grooved?

EVO great idea thanks for your input!!!

we just run DOT4 std stuff (but our cup is 950kg, if it was a full weight car, then yes you might need fancy fluid)

Killer 4pots are a waste of £££

we're having some new discs made over the next few weeks

super dot 4 would be all you need all the advantages of dot 5.1 but non of the drawbacks like needing to bleed it ever mile :)

i even boiled my fluid after 20 laps at donny with Castrol Race fluid that has one of the highest boiling points...

4 pots for me.

4 pots wont make a difference, you need to go bigger.

Cutler i've told you 1000 times, you need wheels with more open spokes, the 182 wheels are crap for cooling

i can't release full detials yet, but expect them by xmas time (i hope)

i going to have plain face, grooved and/or drilled as options

how about 6 8 or 10's andy as the americans say there is no replacement for displacement ;)

i know fabia's with 312mm discs and 2 pots stops like its hit a brick wall
