primer??

[Struggler]

probably a daft question,
picked up some brand new fiberglass side skirts (£40 ebay steal )
the inside is a kind of green, but the outside is grey and really smooth,

my question is, is this the finish, or is it primer??

Its probally just primer if it is primer colour. Unless it is a simaler colour paint which was laquered.

gel coat just rub it down prime then paint

theyve never been painted, theyre brand new.

and gel coat?? whats that??

basically want to know if i need to buy more primer or not.

got some pics of them?

if theyre brand new, just sand them down, fill any blemishes in the skirts then either spot primer or primer the lot if theres lots of blemishes needing filler or sanding out

Could be fibreglass and gelcoat. Its like a plasticy resin which is sprayed on. A lot of boats have it.
