i got an all in1 lexmark printer copier all that bout year or so ago.used it few times andwas fine then all of a sudden the printing on it was rubbish.just tried to use it for first time in bout 8 months and it isnt printing anything at all.it makes out like its printing but nothing is on the page.i assumed it would be the ink but the service indicators on the software says it has ink???any1 know if these r usually wrong?or any1 got any other suggestions....if it is ink would i be better of buying a new printer as all in1;s can be had for 40/50 quid.prob the cost of the ink anyway.

i tried printing a test page.nothing came out on the paper, so i assumed i was out of ink,but the indicators says both cartridges have 3/4 ink left...not sure if this is wrong.

If you've left it sitting with ink cartridges installed for 8 months, then it's likely the ink has dried up.

The tanks probably do have ink in then thats why its reporting back that their not empty. It more likely to be the nozzles on the carts that are blocked with dry ink, try printing something every couple of months just to keep them flowing.

Got any spare carts you can try?
