Prior to FCS car cleanign Plans?

Im going to wake up around 8 on the saturday morning then go out wash the car with the 2 bucket method using autoglym shampoo then dry using megs water magnet then blow any water out the gaps with my dads air blower. Then im going to try and clay the car for the 1st time with megs clay kit. Then going to polish car using autoglym super resin polish then seal it using the autoglym extra protection then wax it. Im going to polish wheels up with megs spray wax and use megs tyre gel on the tyres. was also thinking about buying the autoglym engine cleaner and cleaning the engine and surrounding bodypanels and giving them a quick polish.

i SRP'd mine today, ran out of time and it was going dark.....il seal it in the morning and wax it i rekon

just use some resin polish on your wheels . engine cleaner is just like alloy cleaner will work the same

I am pretty much done and if need be will take it as it is - Want to do Megs #7 and wack on a coat of wax on mine on Sat if I get the chance and weather allows.

If not it is all ready to go anyway, did the interior tonight, and gave it a quick coat of wax as it was nice. Engine bay needs a wipe over and some polish/dressing tomorrow night and the interior glass cleaned and alcantara wiped down if I can. May throw another coat of wheel sealant on too.

When I get to the show I will dress the plastics and tyres.

Whats the best wax to use on my car. so i can use alloy cleaner for cleaning surrounding bodyparts in my engine bay

I would not use wheel cleaner on the bay - use the AG Engine and Machine Cleaner, wax after as any overspray will remove the wax.

With all this cr@p weather i've not got as much done to the Cup as I planned. Plus, my g'friends Smart fortwo is going on the Best of Show stand at Destination Brooklands, so i've spent most of the last week prepping that.

Anyway, last night I Soaked the engine with Megs Safe De-greaser & then power washed to rinse, left running for 15 mins to steam dry! Washed the car using PB's Super Slick & Suds, Soaked arches with Megs Safe De-greaser, De-tarred paint with Autobrite Tar & Glue Remover (didn't need clay as done recently) then it pi$$ed down for about 30 mins. Back out at 20:30, Re washed/rinsed/dried, polished with rotary using Menzerna IP on a Megs finishing pad, clayed glass with Sonus Green, polished 'saust tips with Belgom Chromes. By this time it was 11pm so time to pack up!

I've managed to remove some of the light swirling, but with only 2 hours to wizz round the car many are still present.

Got up at 6am this morning to apply Swissvax cleaner fluid, then Swissvax Best of Show. Then off to work for a half day.

Off to Weybridge this afternoon for the Smart show so no more time on the Clio . Back late Sat night, and up and out at 5am on Sunday. will have to do glass, plastics, interior & give the wheels a shine when I get to FCS.

Looking forward to seeing some shiny motors!!

Yea I fell over the dog & tripped down the stairs & killed my shoulder on the wall at the bottom so for a couple of days I couldn't lift it much coz it killed!

Be reet, its raining now so it might get a quick wash & wax at the hotel lol.

Raining here to, going to pick up some bits from Pug and fit some wiper blades and leave it at that if it don't stop.

Just gave the Cup a quick wash and chamios hoovered and polished inside checked all the oil water etc still looks mint that protection really good only washed it and it looks polished still. just getting my stuff packed up then going to leave to go hotel at 3. Im going to polish and do any final stuff to it up there i think im fully loaded with cleaning equipment. see you all soon..

the rain f***s me off! Been raining all day and i had planned to clean my car fully today as havn't done it for 2 weeks which is long for me.

I thought f**k it and washed my car in the rain haha. Obviously no polish wax etc but it much much better as it was really dirty and couldnt leave it like it was for fcs haha I think people down my area must have thought i have mental problems lol

i did i buy it in a 5 litre bottle and dilut small amounts works the same its a grease remover end of the day

im bloddy lucky . i washed myne when rain stopeed poring it down then took it in the showroom and polished and waxed an vacumed in there
