recently installed some ice and when it is turned up loud for a long period of time the sub keeps cutting out for a few seconds any help on why this is happenin.

My mates does this!! think its due to not enough power from the battery and alternator

thats what i thought it was i am soon be insalling a power cap will this fix the problem

nope if it is power you need a better alernator

but it could just be thermal cutout you really needs to monitor when it does it and see if its at a fixed point

i have checked and it is rather hot but it just seems hot all around not in 1 place. How can i fix this at the minute the amp is attached to the sub box. If it is the power would a better battery do the trick.

no battery only works when the engine is stopped all the rest of the time its the altenator bud

if its heat try mounting it flat so heat rises away from the surface
