product for rear shocks

HI all,
what would anyone advise to protect the rear shocks from road salt etc. About to fit my sachs replacments which are silly money compared to 182 shocks. Looking at prvious sachs rears they seem to be prone to rusting before failing.
Its not a concours show car but also i dont fancy just painting them in waxoyl. A halfway solution would be nice.
